Find People in the USA – How to Locate People From the USA

I’ve always wanted to know what is the best way to find people in the USA…no matter what details I know about them (for example, name, address, phone etc.) I didn’t want to be limited by the amount of information I knew about that person but I wanted to use what I have to the best extent.

Eventually I have tried many USA People Finder websites (or like some people like to call them, US people search engines) and got different results. It took me a while to realize there is not one single best way to find a person who was born, lived or currently lives within US…but many.

But let’s start with you. You’re trying to find someone and I hope you know (at least) their name, the approximate age and previous locations where that person lived. What can you do with all that information and how can that information help you find the person you’re looking for?

The easiest way to start is to use a search engine. I don’t want you to invest money (yet) in something so we’ll start with the free search engines. Let’s head over to whitepages.com which is the biggest US White Pages directory and search (depending on the information you have):

– by name
– by address
– by phone number

Did you find any information? Let’s say you have the name and you have found the address but eventually later found that it is not the current but a previous address. Well don’t throw that information yet. Now you can do a search BY ADDRESS and find ALL THE PEOPLE who currently live there (their names and phones.) Then you can call them and ask if they know something about the person you’re looking for.

Another great advice I would give is to use wink.com and 123people.com to search if that person has an online social networking profile like Hi5, MySpace or Facebook.

Also enter any data you know in Google…the king of information. Based on the information you enter you may find even more data that you can utilize later.

The possibilities are endless. You just need PERSISTENCE.

There are also some very, very cool background check companies that for a cheap price can find information like:

– history of previous addresses and phone numbers
– list of relatives etc.
